The Bribie Island Christmas Lights Boat Parade has become an iconic community event of the Bribie Island Festive Season Calendar.
Dozens of Vessels decorated in vibrant Christmas lights make their way throughout the Pacific Harbour canals and Pumicestone Passage. The event attracts thousands of spectators who congregate on vantage points around the canals or host parties to enjoy the spectacle.
Key information for Spectators:
When? 7pm Saturday 13th December 2025. The Parade takes a little over 2 hours to complete.
Where? There are numerous public viewing locations as shown on the route map below.
How Much Does it cost? The event is FREE for locals and visitors to watch and join in the Christmas Spirit
Best Places to Watch? If you’re comfortable with a high-energy environment, want to purchase dinner from the Food Trucks and be close-up to the laser show, Pacific Harbour Marina is very popular. This year, the vacant land near the marina is fenced-off for construction of a new land-release. After your food-truck-fill – if you prefer a quieter experience with plenty of space, there are numerous alternatives shown on the route map.
Top picks for a less crowded experience and close-up views of the boats are the new park at 170 Cosmos Avenue or 84 Endeavour Drive where the parade passes twice. Both of these locations have Portaloos.
Is Parking available? There is reduced parking at the Pacific Harbour Marina this year, due to construction of a new land-release. All other viewing locations offer plenty of street parking.
What Else is on? At the Pacific Harbour Marina there will be a Laser show which plays in bursts between the passing flotilla and visible from approximately 1km. There will be Food Trucks ranging from snacks, drinks, carnival food to fresh seafood. Local artists will be performing LIVE!
Are there Public Toilets? There are portaloos located at the marina and public toilets in the nearby Harbourside park. There are portaloos at the new park at 170 Cosmos Avenue or 84 Endeavour Drive where the parade passes twice. Some of the other public viewing areas have nearby public toilets.
Is there Public seating, Picnic Tables or BBQs? Note that the vacant land to the east of the marina precinct been reduced due to the construction of a new land-release. There are no picnic tables or public seating at the marina, so bring your own chairs or picnic rug. Many of the other viewing areas have picnic tables and some have FREE council BBQs.
